Date: Thursday 25th March 2021.
Hello All:
The current directives from BC Rugby through ViaSport remain in place allowing only groups of ten to practice while maintaining a compulsory distance of 3 metres. This is not a reality that we can maintain with young children playing rugby. We are waiting for a return to phase 3 where age groups of 50 are allowed to train with minimal contact (tough rugby and flag rugby) but are not allowed to play against other teams. This was the situation in the Fall.
There has been some talk about a possible shift in the middle of April to phase 3 but nothing definitive . Of course we will let you know when we will resume practice and will advise on the appropriate protocols accordingly. In the meantime I hope that you are all getting some family time during spring break while staying healthy and active.
Regards.
Sean Carter.
